Megaplast manufactures a range of HDPE geomembranes at our NABL-accredited facility in Daman, including Mega Platinum, which exceeds GRI-GM13 specifications; Mega Diamond, which meets GRI-GM13 specifications; and Mega Gold, a commercial-grade geomembrane.
The Mega HDPE Liners—available in Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Series—are engineered for superior performance,
offers exceptional chemical resistance, durability, and longevity. Each variant is designed for a specific balance
of performance and application.

| Best For | High-Stress and Extreme Applications | Industrial Projects | General Containment Applications |
Low permeability matrix effectively prevents liquid migration
Shields against UV radiation and chemical penetration
Smooth, single-side textured and double-side textured variants available
Ideal for applications where zero seepage is critical
High resistance to chemicals, UV rays, abrasion, and corrosion
High tensile strength with excellent elongation properties
Easy to transport, cut, and weld on-site, with an 8-meter width enabling faster setup while reducing material waste
Long lifespan, minimal maintenance, and no need for UV protective covering help reduce long-term costs
Our HDPE liners are tested at our NABL-accredited in-house laboratory to ensure the highest quality. They carry global and national certifications, including GRI-GM13, ISO 9001:2015, IS 15351:2019, and IS 15869. They also meet international ASTM D5397 and ASTM D5199 standards for durability and thickness.
HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) is stiffer and offers superior chemical resistance and UV protection, making it ideal for landfills and mining. LLDPE (Linear Low-Density Polyethylene) is more flexible and can stretch easily, which is better for uneven ground or projects that require the liner to fit around complex shapes.
| Property | HDPE Liners | LLDPE Liners |
| Density / Stiffness | Higher density and stiffness; more rigid | Lower density; more flexible with higher elongation |
| Flexibility / Elongation | Lower flexibility with limited stretch and deformation tolerance | Higher flexibility due to its branched polymer structure, with greater elongation at break |
| Puncture Resistance | Higher puncture resistance at the same thickness | Excellent puncture resistance, especially at lower temperatures, and performs well on rough or uneven subgrades |
| Tensile Strength | Typically higher tensile strength | Moderate tensile strength |
| Chemical Resistance | Excellent chemical resistance with low permeability | Excellent chemical resistance, broadly comparable to HDPE |
| Stress Crack Resistance | Good, especially when manufactured with modern bimodal resins | Excellent stress crack resistance due to its inherent flexibility |
| UV Resistance | Excellent | Excellent |
| Best Subgrade Type | Smooth, stable subgrades; the surface should be free of sharp protrusions to minimize stress concentrations | Uneven or settlement-prone subgrades; adapts better to ground movement and differential settlement |
| Typical Applications | Landfills, mining, reservoirs, wastewater lagoons, and large industrial ponds | Aquaculture ponds, fish ponds, decorative ponds, canals, and applications requiring high flexibility |
| Installation | Requires careful subgrade preparation and professional welding | Easier to install due to its flexibility and ability to conform to irregular surfaces |
| Welding Method | Hot wedge or extrusion welding | Hot wedge or extrusion welding |
| Service Life | Often exceeds 50 years when properly formulated and installed | Long service life; generally comparable, although HDPE may offer a lower lifecycle cost in some applications |
Yes. Megaplast HDPE liners fully comply with the CPCB MSW Rules. For landfill applications, we supply the required minimum thickness of 1.5 mm with a textured finish to ensure stability and environmental safety.
Yes, we do. Our Mega Diamond Series is specifically engineered for the mining industry. These liners are available in 2.0 mm to 2.5 mm thickness with a double-textured surface to provide the extra strength and friction needed for heap-leach pads and tailings.
We offer a wide range of thicknesses from 0.5 mm (20 mil) up to 2.5 mm (80 mil). All our liners are manufactured to meet or exceed GRI-GM13 international specifications, ensuring reliable performance for various containment needs.
We supply rolls up to 8 metres wide. This extra width is a major advantage as it reduces the number of field seams by about 30% compared to standard 6-metre rolls, making installation faster and reducing the risk of leaks.
For a secure, leak-proof seal, our liners are welded using professional systems. We use the MegaWeld dual-track hot-wedge system for long straight seams and the MegaLock extrusion welding system for patches, corners, and detailed pipe fittings.
Yes, Megaplast is a global supplier. We currently export to over 30 countries. Our liners are designed to meet international quality benchmarks, complying with GRI-GM13 and ASTM standards required for global infrastructure and environmental projects.
